You're already a £200k biller. What could you do on a platform where £400k is average?
There comes a point in a successful recruiter's career when working harder isn't necessarily the answer. Sometimes you need a bigger platform.
This opportunity will offer an experienced permanent recruiter (from any Built Environment sector) alongside a Principal billing £600k annually , giving them access to the Corporate Real Estate client portfolio they has spent more than a decade developing, and places them within a division where average consultant billings are already around £400k .
The brief is to take an established interim client base and build the permanent recruitment offering around it. The relationships are there. The decision-makers are there. The vacancies exist. What happens with them next is the opportunity.
02
The Firm
This is a non-corporate but highly established international recruitment business with 300+ employees spanning multiple internal brands across four international offices and more than 15 years in the market .W
With multiple awards under their belt, this company has built the infrastructure, brand and resources you'd expect from a business of its scale. More importantly, there is evidence that good recruiters can perform exceptionally well here.
Within this division, average consultant billings are around £400,000 annually . The Principal you'll work alongside bills approximately £600,000 , while the company's highest performer bills in excess of £1 million a year .
This isn't a business talking about the possibility of creating big billers. It already has them.
The London team operates from exceptional offices in central London in a mature, professional environment with high autonomy, strong resources and a genuinely collaborative approach to sharing clients and opportunities.
03
Who This Suits
A successful permanent Built Environment recruiter currently billing around £200,000+ who suspects their ability may have started to outgrow their current platform.
Someone comfortable recruiting senior professional appointments and credible enough to build relationships with decision-makers across major property consultancies and developers.
You don't necessarily need an existing Corporate Real Estate network. A strong permanent recruitment background across Property or the wider Built Environment could translate extremely well.
A recruiter motivated by becoming an exceptional individual biller, but who also wants the option to build something around themselves as their market develops.
Someone who values autonomy and wants to be treated as an experienced professional rather than managed through activity metrics.
If you're happy billing £200k, there are plenty of places you can do it. This opportunity is really for someone wondering how much further they could go with better access, stronger infrastructure and a proven high-billing environment around them.
04
The Role
You'll build the permanent Corporate Real Estate offering alongside an established interim desk that has been developed over more than ten years.
The existing Principal bills approximately £600,000 annually and has built an extensive portfolio of relationships with building consultancies and developers.
You'll work closely together. That means genuine introductions to established decision-makers, shared client relationships, live vacancies, candidate crossover and ongoing mentorship from somebody who knows the market rather than being handed a database and told there are “warm clients” somewhere inside it.
Your focus will be senior permanent appointments across Corporate Real Estate, including:
- Programme Managers
- Mobilisation Programme Managers
- Project Managers
- Workplace Consultants
- Workplace Strategists
- Quantity Surveyors
The objective is to develop a permanent recruitment offering capable of matching the strength of the existing interim business.
Initially, that means building your own billings and establishing yourself in the market.
Longer term, there is another opportunity. The existing Principal has no ambition to move into management. So if you successfully establish the permanent offering and want to build a team around yourself, there is space to do exactly that with the potential to progress ultimately to Director and lead the permanent division .
05
The Rewards
£45,000 £50,000 basic salary
A transparent commission structure paying up to 40% , within a business where the numbers demonstrate what the platform can produce.
You'll also receive:
- Two days working from home each week
- Private healthcare
- Life assurance
- Employee Assistance Programme
- International high-performer trips and exclusive events
- Charity days
- Extensive support and resources from a 300+ person international recruitment group
But arguably the biggest benefit isn't on the benefits list. It's access.
Access to relationships built over ten years.
Access to established decision-makers.
Access to live requirements and candidate networks.
Access to a £600k biller who will work alongside you rather than compete with you.
And a platform where £400k isn't presented as an exceptional theoretical target. It's what consultants in the division bill on average.
If you've already demonstrated that you can bill £200k, the more interesting question might be what you're capable of with the right platform behind you.
