Overview
- SENIOR RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT - DEVELOPMENT & PROJECT MANAGEMENT (Client Side)
- London | Up to £45,000 Basic + Zero-Threshold Commission to 30% + 3-Month Guarantee
There comes a point where becoming a better recruiter isn't really about working harder. It's about having better clients, stronger market access and a platform capable of turning your ability into bigger numbers.
This opportunity sits within an established specialist Property recruitment practice covering the professional world behind major UK development projects.
You'll recruit across Development and Project Management, working with developers, investors, consultancies and other client-side Property organisations across the UK.
There is already a proven track record here. Existing clients. Established candidate relationships. Repeat business. Market knowledge built over years.
Your job is to take advantage of it and add your own relationships, reputation and commercial ability to make the opportunity bigger.
02
The Opportunity
You'll operate as a hands-on recruiter across the Development & Project Management market, with UK-wide scope and considerable freedom to develop the areas where you see the strongest commercial opportunity.
The market follows the professional lifecycle of Property development from acquisition and planning through development, project strategy, cost and delivery.
Typical appointments include:
- Development Managers,
- Development Consultants,
- Project Managers
- and Project Cost Consultants
alongside related professional appointments within developers, investors and Property consultancies.
This is predominantly client-side and consultancy recruitment, rather than contractor-side Construction.
Importantly, you're not arriving to an empty desk. The business already has relationships across the market, a substantial specialist candidate network and an established reputation across complementary Property disciplines.
That gives you something useful from day one; warms conversations to have, relationships to develop and a market that already knows the firm's name.
But there is still plenty left to build and you'll be expected to bring your own energy to the desk: developing existing relationships further, opening new clients, extending the firm's reach and building your own reputation within the market.
While initially this is entirely about demonstrating your success as a Recruiter there will be support, if you do wish to gain more responsibility, to develop a team.
As the market grows, the business is prepared to invest in additional headcount and create further specialist desks.
That means a successful Senior Consultant can develop towards Principal, management and ultimately senior leadership, but equally, someone who loves billing and wants to become an exceptional individual producer has room to do that too.
03
The Firm
You'll be joining an established specialist recruitment business focused exclusively on the professional Property and Real Estate market.
One that has been operating successfully for almost a decade and has built depth across complementary disciplines including Development, Project Management, Cost Consultancy, Building Surveying, Property Management and Facilities Management.
It's boutique enough that you won't disappear into layers of hierarchy, but established enough to provide the clients, brand, candidate reach and infrastructure that make a material difference to what you can produce.
This is also a firm that reflects the professional markets it recruits into. It's consultative rather than transactional and understands the power of networking and events.
Experienced recruiters are trusted to manage relationships properly and are given the autonomy to decide how best to develop their desk.
There are targets, it is still recruitment, but performance isn't confused with pointless activity.
The emphasis is on quality conversations, market knowledge, strong relationships and ultimately results.
You'll work from high-quality Central London offices alongside experienced recruiters and senior leaders who understand specialist Property recruitment and remain close to the market themselves.
04
Who This Suits
You'll already have a track record within Property, Real Estate, Surveying or a closely related Built Environment recruitment market.
Experience recruiting Development Managers, Project Managers, Cost Consultants or similar client-side professionals would make the transition particularly straightforward, but an identical desk isn't necessarily essential.
What's more important is that you understand professional Property recruitment and that you know the difference between simply filling vacancies and developing a specialist market.
You're comfortable building relationships with candidates whose careers may span many years, developing credibility with senior clients and creating business rather than waiting for somebody to hand you jobs.
You may already be performing well but feel you've reached the limits of your current platform.
Perhaps your market is carved up between too many recruiters.
Perhaps the best client relationships sit elsewhere in the business.
Perhaps you're capable of considerably bigger numbers but don't have the brand, candidate reach or market access to get there.
Or perhaps you've simply realised that the next stage of your career requires a better environment rather than more activity.
This role gives you an established specialist platform without dictating exactly what you have to become within it.
Come in.
Build a serious desk.
Establish yourself.
Then decide how far you want to take it.
05

If you want to progress quickly, there is a clear route to do so.
Strong personal performance can lead to increased responsibility, the opportunity to develop others and progression through the business as the Development & Project Management practice continues to grow.
You don't need to join as a future Director.
You need to join believing you can become one of the strongest.
